Orion Ranch Observatory ASCOM Driver for Tuya based Smart Switches

Description

This ASCOM switch driver adds support for simple on/off smart switches based on the Tuya SmartLife platform.  Tuya based devices are rather ubiquitous, being used for most inexpensive Chinese IoT devices operating over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and smart outlet plugs can be found for $5-$10 each.  This driver will allow you to use these devices in your astronomy setup and control them using the ASCOM platform.

1. Grant of License
   This software, known as ASCOM.OrionRanchObservatoryTuya.Switch(the “Software”), is provided as freeware by Orion Ranch Observatory.  Orion Ranch Observatory grants you, the user, a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use this Software free of charge. This license is for your personal, non-commercial use only.
2. Restrictions

• No Charge: You may not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise charge for the distribution or use of this Software.
• No Modifications: You may not modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the Software.
• No Redistribution: You may not redistribute the Software. You may only direct others to download the Software from the official source at www.orionranchobservatory.com.
• No Ownership Transfer: This license does not grant you any ownership rights to the Software. All intellectual property rights remain with Orion Ranch Observatory.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty
   The Software is provided “as is,” without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.  Orion Ranch Observatory does notwarrantthat the Software will be error-free or meet specific requirements.
4. Limitation of Liability
   Orion Ranch Observatory will not be liable for any claims, damages, or other liability related to the Software or its use. You assume all risk regarding the Software’s quality and performance, as well as any results of using it to control your equipment.
5. Termination
   This license terminates if you fail to comply with its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies.
6. Governing Law
   This license is governed by the laws of Texas, United States of America.

By installing and using the Software, you agree to the terms of this License Agreement.
