So I’ve been helping a new friend out with his new 11″ Celestron Edge HD telescope with Celestron NightScape CCD and NexGuide imaging setup, and about the time he was getting set up to make some progress, he broke his foot and decided he wouldn’t be able to deal with such a heavy scope going forward. Thus I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get a good deal on a nice relatively new Edge HD scope. While the cameras aren’t what I probably would have chosen myself if I was buying new, they give me the opportunity to try some new things. I’ve posted a couple of photos of the new setup as well as my first imaging attempt at M57, the Ring Nebula. Enjoy!
BTW, I’m hoping to get back to some construction on the observatory within the next month.
